It’d been three months since I’d dropped out of WCS to attend New York High. Three months since my old L.A. friends moved to NY to be in my clique. Three months since I’d resumed my post as the dominant alpha.

The sound of my Jimmy Choos click-clacking against the freshly polished linoleum floor of New York High blended in with the sounds of NYH’s after-school noise. The sound of girls laughing and guys cheering filled the locker-lined halls as all the students hurried in an effort to get off of the school campus as soon as possible.
A smile grew on my face when I finally reached my locker. Somehow, the rowdiness that filled the halls always made me feel better. Unlike my former school, WCS, New York High wasn’t all about posh and poise. Here, football was more important than footwear. Students watching Channel 5 was more common than wearing Chanel No. 5. Sure, there were some girls who shared the same taste in style as me, but it was less worried about here than it was at WCS. New York High was like a second home to me; it was familiar, comforting, and no one judged each other for their fashion.
“Hey, Ash!” Cade Thompson, one of my best friends, approached my locker enthusiastically. Cade was one of the first people I met at NYH, and we’d bonded over the same music taste. Ever since he and I had chatted non-stop about Sleeping With Sirens, Pierce the Veil, and Panic! at the Disco, we’d been like brother-and-sister. Cade was taller than me and had a reputation of being the sassy football captain. Despite our close friendship, I’d never felt attracted to him in a romantic way.
“Hey, Cade.” I stuffed all of my books in my navy JanSport bag and then slammed my locker door shut. “What’s up?” I always felt reassured and never in the need to act all impressive around him.
“Nothing much.” He grinned mischievously and stuffed his hands into the pockets of his skinny jeans. I used to warn him that wearing skintight skinny jeans would cut off the circulation in his legs, but then he’d pointed out that I wore even skinnier jeans. I had shut up about it after that.
“What did you do?” I narrowed my eyes, my good mood quickly diminishing.
“What do you mean?” He casually tugged on the hem of his Nirvana shirt and bit his lip coyly.
“Of course. You’re going to smile like an idiot and I’ll think you did absolutely nothing wrong.” Pure sarcasm could be heard in my voice. “The last time you smiled at me like that, you spray-painted my car.”
“I did nothing wrong!” Cade paused. “But you have to admit, your car did look pretty awesome covered in spray paint.”
A quick snapshot of the memory flashed into my mind of my car looked like it’d been puked jelly beans on to. “Not really.”
“Whatever. Anyways, I was wondering if you wanted to come to Starbucks with me.” He fiddled nervously with his black lip ring. I’d always pestered him if getting a lip ring would hurt or not, but he’d told me that if I got a lip ring, he’d shoot me in the head.
I raised an eyebrow. “As in, a date?” As I’ve said before, he and I didn’t have any romantic feelings for each other. So why was he asking me to go to Starbucks with him?
“No, you moron.” He rolled his eyes and ran a hand through his dark blonde hair. “I lost a bet to Brent and now I have to buy him one of those yellow croissant things.”
I rolled my eyes back. Typical. “Fine, I’ll go with you. But for the record, they’re called butter croissants.”
He scoffed, but didn’t say anything else. As we walked out of the building, I couldn’t help wishing that going to Starbucks was going to be a date after all.

Hello, my lovely viewers!
I have a couple of things to say, so let me cut straight to the point.
• I’m so sorry for the super-long hiatus, and it sort of ranged on for three months.. Yeah, sorry about that. I can’t promise you that I will be posting more, but just stay patient until I find a permanent posting schedule.
• I changed my theme to Sorbet instead of Forever. WP updated something and I couldn’t get the annoying borders off. -.- If there still is a way to get the borders off, could someone please tell me? I know this makeover isn’t my best, so I’m sorry for that!
• I know, I know. The A-list girls were not in this post, and I originally planned to have them in here, but I kind of got lazy and just decided to write about them next time. Also, I’m not planning to have auditions for The A-list, because I like being a solo-blogger, as crazy as it may sound.
• New FaceClaim: Sarah Fisher! Please don’t use her, because I’ve claimed her on WCR. I’ve also claimed Chrissy Costanza for future use as well.
• Cade’s FaceClaim is Luke Hemmings from 5SOS. I’m just using Luke, because I want you all to have a good picture of who Cade is in your mind.
• TBH, I don’t know whether Ash and Cade should be together, but if ya’ll want to ship ’em, their name is Cash. ♥ Beautiful, right?
• I reached above 7.8K views and currently have 229 followers. Thank you all so much, this literally means the world to me!
• Currently, my website addictions are WeHeartIt (Please do not use any pictures from my ‘DNU’ set!) and WattPad. Anyone else just love reading good fanfictions? Comment below some fanfic suggestions, because I love discovering new stories to read.
Ciao for now!
Stay Lovely,
